Crypto investment firm Multicoin Capital has hired Brian Strugats as its new head trader.

Brian has joined Multicoin Capital from crypto prime broker FalconX, where he worked as the head of trading. Brian spent nearly four years at FalconX.

Brian’s professional career of almost 20 years includes his time at Fortress Investment Group, where he worked as an analyst for almost three years.

Brian also held senior roles at Glenhill Capital, XN, and Balantrove.

“Brian will be responsible for providing best execution for the fund, managing our counterparty relationships, providing actionable market context to the investment team, and enhancing our trading capabilities,” Kyle Samani, managing partner at Multicoin said.

“Given the decentralized nature of digital assets, market structure is becoming increasingly more complex, requiring deep knowledge to create opportunities for the firm and funds moving forward,” he added.

Founded in 2017, Multicoin is one of the biggest crypto investment firms.

“With increasing regulatory clarity in the US and internationally, we’re anticipating a pivotal ‘breaking of the dam’ moment where significant new capital enters crypto markets. We are already observing early signs of this shift as allocators adjust their strategies and as leading trading firms, banks, and fintechs integrate crypto as a core component of their business strategy and market them to their customers,” Kyle said.
