Brian Armstrong’s crypto exchange Coinbase is offering a base salary of $219,000 per year to machine leaning engineers in an effort to grab the top talent.

The trading platform, co-founded by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam in 2012, is hiring a senior machine learning engineer in the US. Coinbase is offering a remote working option to the successful candidate.

“As a senior machine learning engineer at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in building an open financial system. This involves harnessing diverse and extensive data sources, including the blockchain, to grant millions of individuals access to cryptocurrency while simultaneously identifying and thwarting malicious entities,” the company mentioned in its job description.

Coinbase wants applicants to have at least five years of experience in machine learning. Candidates with a PhD and experience in Python language will be preferred.

“Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401k), “ the company said.

Coinbase, which adopts a remote-first approach, is expanding its team with the hiring of almost 500 people across the world including the UK, the US, and India.
