Digital asset exchange Crypto.com is betting big on the Middle East with plans to expand its presence in Dubai.

Crypto.com is hiring for 10 roles in Dubai office including the head of growth analytics, product managers, and a regulatory legal counsel, according to its website.

Crypto.com’s expansion came a few weeks after receiving an in-principle approval from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates for a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) license, becoming the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in the UAE to obtain such approval.

Upon receiving the final license, the company will be able to provide digital payment services for Dubai Government fees to residents in the UAE.

To facilitate hiring in Dubai, Crypto.com is also recruiting a senior HR associate in the emirate, according to its website.

Earlier this year, Crypto.com became one of the few exchanges in the world which received a limited license by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to offer derivatives in the UAE.
