Crypto liquidations hit $137 million amid ETH, SOL volatility

Long crypto traders continue to take a hit in the market as Ethereum, Solana and Sui take a dip.

More than $43 million worth of long ETH positions got liquidated in the last 24 hours, most by any other crypto asset. Almost $6 million worth of long SOL positions and over $4 million worth of long SUI positions were liquidated during the same period.

A total of $87 million in long crypto positions were liquidated along with $50 million worth of short crypto positions, taking the overall liquidations to more than $137 million.

More than 54,000 traders were liquidated in the last 24 hours and the biggest liquidation happened on Bybit. The liquidation was in BTC USD worth $3.7 million, according to data published by Coinglass.

The crypto market has remained volatile since the start of June. Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market cap, started the month at a price level of $104,000. The digital asset dipped to a low of $100,000 on 5 June but made a comeback to hit $110,000 on 10 June.

Bitcoin is currently trading at around $105,000.
